Cargo Claiming – What Type of Damage Are You Claiming For?

There can be many reasons for a Cargo Claim, but it is up to you, the claimant/shipper to make sure you identify the reason and submit evidence accordingly along with photographs or even video evidence.

Some of the most common reasons you can see here in the chart which are also explained in more depth below, but it is for you to make sure you identify damage correctly.

You should explain any photographs of damaged goods you submit along with any photographs of the container and /or damage to the container making the situation clear. Photographs and video evidence prove your statement.

If possible take photographs before shipping of goods and container showing that everything was packed correctly before shipping. The more evidence you have the better.
