Would you believe that your container, full of cargo, could simply “disappear”? With automated terminals, smart devices, track and trace tools….yes Containers in transit still disappear today.
As long as it happens during POL – POD and shipper has Bill of Lading (BL) issued, the liable party is always carrier on BL.
Scenario…
The container was discharged at transshipment port.
Container was not loaded to port of discharge.
Carrier’s intention was to drag claim, searching for missing container until claim is time barred…
